On Loki
One sort of has to wonder at some point, while reading the Norse myths, exactly why they let Loki hang out with them. He always caused trouble; he was like That Guy at a party who always ruins things for everyone and always manages to find out that the party is going on, even if uninvited on purpose, and crashes it. But the proper thing to do is eject That Guy from the party, and why didn’t they? Did the Aesir suffer from that geek social fallacy that says you aren’t allowed to judge anyone lest ye become a jock and start giving people swirlies and pulling their pants down?
